George Sanga joins Highlands Hope as an educational consultant

George Sanga is a trained science teacher from Njombe who has provided outstanding leadership through the KYOFI youth choir as well as working as a translator and assistant for a variety of research, advocacy, and education efforts in collaboration with the Highlands Hope Umbrella, with Bishop's University, and with the McGill School of Nursing.

George was able to travel to Canada in the winter of 2011 and met with representatives of a number of Highlands Hope supporting organizations including the McGill School of Nursing, Bishop's University, and St. George's Elementary School in Westmount.

George will act as a mentor to the first peer health educators at the the two pilot sites as well as developing a plan to implement peer health educator training in several other area schools.
