KYOFE is the youth choir established in Njombe with Highlands Hope assistance to help get the message out that young people can protect themselves against HIV infection. Over the years they have built a strong repertoire of original music and have already released two CDs and a DVD of their performances.
They also provide recreation opportunities in addition to the choir especially for their younger members, including football and volleyball teams. Recently, they have become concerned about economic and job opportunities for youth in the Njombe area and have been looking into entrepreneurial activities that might create employment.

Dear Friends,
It was a good start for Highlands Hope Umbrella to sponsor 5 members of Kibena Youth Fellow (KYOFE) on Entrepreneurship and Business management Skills training; this is the preparation for the group to start small projects. The training was for 5 days and was conducted by SIDO- Small Industries Development Organization - Njombe branch. SIDO is the main government arm for promoting SMEs.
Thanks
Betty Liduke
